The Process

Champion Prenail understands the challenges Architects, Builders and Homeowners face so we’ve designed a step-by-step process to simplify the building journey and make it easier.

Step 1
Scope

We understand the requirements of each project are unique. So start the process by either sending us your architectural plans or dropping into our office where our highly skilled in-house detailers will provide clarity, expert guidance and thoughtful design solutions to ensure a smooth build process and deliver exactly what you envisage.

Step 2
Quote & Consents

We offer a free, no-obligation quote with detailed, comprehensive pricing to help you plan with confidence. Additionally, we provide a quote for internal prehung doors to complement our frame and truss quotation.

Our highly skilled team of estimators will outline every key component of the project ensuring there are no surprises. Everything is included and supplied from factory to site.

We design and supply all supporting documentation including PS1 for building compliance as part of the consent process.

Step 3
Detailing & Design

Once the quotation is accepted and the consented plans and engineering documentation are received, detailing can commence using our advanced Pryda software.

On-site measuring is part of our service for renovation projects.

Step 4
Manufacture

After detailing is completed the plans are sent to our extremely accurate computerised Razer Saw where precise cutting and manufacturing take place.

All components of the manufacturing process are then precisely assembled, systematically stacked, and clearly labeled to ensure easy on-site installation.

Builders receive laminated, fully detailed layout plans along with clear installation instructions to support smooth and efficient assembly. All products are manufactured to New Zealand Building Standards.

Step 5
Delivery

All manufactured frames, floor packs, and beams are securely stored inside our factory until delivery, protecting them from the elements and ensuring a high-quality finished product.

Transport and delivery to site via Hi-ab trucks are arranged by us and are fully included in the quotation.

What is Detailing?

Detailing refers to the critical process of creating precise, technical plans and specifications for the frames, trusses, and other components of your build. After the quotation is accepted and consented plans are received, Champion Prenail uses advanced Pryda software to design every element, ensuring accuracy and compliance with New Zealand Building Standards (Steps 3 and 4). This step involves mapping out measurements, structural requirements, and assembly details, so the manufacturing team can produce components that fit perfectly on-site. For customers, this means a smoother build process with no guesswork, as builders receive fully detailed, laminated layout plans and clear installation instructions (Steps 3 and 4). Detailing ensures your vision is executed with precision, minimising errors and delays.

What is a PS1?

A PS1, or Producer Statement – Design, is an official document we provide to confirm that your frames, trusses, or floor systems are designed and built to meet New Zealand Building Standards, making it essential for council consents, building permits and code of compliance.
